Instructions and Help about How Form 2220 Text

Music. Hi, this is Mike Haber. Thanks for asking me, "What is the Internet Crimes Complaint Center?" or IC3. IC3 is the FBI's online Internet Crime Complaint Center. It is part of the FBI Cyber Division and is staffed by FBI personnel who were chosen for their expertise in prevention, detection, and investigation of cybercrime. Their mission statement is to provide the public with a reliable and convenient reporting mechanism to submit information to the FBI concerning suspected internet-facilitated criminal activity, and to develop effective alliances with industry partners. So, if you're the victim of, or even if you're just aware of, any cybercrime, say, for instance, you discover that your elderly parents sent money to someone they met on the internet and you suspect that it was a scam, or perhaps you sent a nude selfie to someone and later got a text, email, or a threat from someone else claiming to be their parent, alleging that you were a minor, and unless you send them money right away, they're going to call the cops. In these cases, you can call and report these things to IC3. They deal with all sorts of computer crime, ranging from theft of intellectual property rights to computer intrusion, economic espionage, online extortion, international money laundering, any fraud scheme, such as identity theft, phishing, spam, reshipping, romance scams, non-shipping of shipping, or counterfeit goods. Whether you're the actual victim or a third party, you're free to file an online police report with the FBI through IC3. Thank you for your question. I appreciate your having asked it, and I invite you to ask more. Please remember, at Michael A. Haber PA, it's all about reasonable doubt. And if you like this video, please subscribe. We'll be putting out more soon. Music. Applause.
