Instructions and Help about When Form 2220 Multiply

Good, I am welcome to the Math channel. In this video today, we're gonna have a look at the fast way of multiplying two three-digit numbers together. Don't let's go, so first of all, we'll see if we can multiply some numbers together. I'll give you a question here, which is 21 times 31. I'll give you 6-7 seconds to work it out. Time's up, now, have you got the answer? It is 651. You did really well and got the right answer. If you were busily reaching for the calculator but couldn't find it in time, bad luck. You don't need a calculator because I'm going to show you how you can work it out quickly. Okay, so don't get all despondent if you didn't work it out. We'll go through it right now. To get the first number of our answer, we multiply the first digits in our two numbers. So, two times three is six, there you go, got the first part of our answer. We leave a blank space. One times two is two, one times three is three. We add two and three together to get the answer 651. Let's look at another example. What about 43 times 21? It's a little bit harder this time. See how you go, you're the answer yet? Okay, I'll start working through this one. Again, four times two is eight,...
