In this short video, I'll show you how to use your personal scanner to save your files as a PDF, which is the preferred format for uploading to the Kenyan tasks website. I have an Epson scanner, but the scanning software may vary. However, many of the features are the same across different scanners. For example, on the Epson scanner, you can choose the type of document you are scanning. I recommend selecting "text lineart" for the best results and to keep the file size small. If you have the option, choose grayscale as the image type. The most important thing is to select PDF as the document type for scanning. Now, let's proceed with the steps. Click on the "PDF" option and then click "OK." Most scanners will require you to do a preview first, so click on the "Preview" button. Once the preview looks good, click on "Scan" to start scanning the document. With PDFs, you can send a multiple-page document to us. Some scanning software allows you to add pages. If you have this feature, simply click on "Add a page" and replace the scanned paper with the next page you want to send. Place it on the scanner bed and click on "Scan" when you're ready. Finally, after scanning all the pages, click on "Save File" and choose the location where you want to save the PDF. That's it! You're done.
