Hey guys, Anthony Fontana here. I'm an IRS enrolled agent with EI Tax Resolutions, and today I'm addressing the question of what is my tax refund. Okay, so there are two different answers. If you file like most people do, then you should receive your refund in less than 21 days after your return gets accepted. However, if, for whatever reason, you paper filed your return, it's going to take a little bit longer. The IRS says they will issue your refund anywhere from six to eight weeks after they receive your return. Now, if you want to find out where your refund is in their process, you can go online. The IRS now has a function on their website called "Where's My Refund". I'll include a link in the description below. You go on there, fill out some basic information, and it'll let you know where your refund is. There are three different statuses that it'll let you know. Number one is if your return first got received. Number two is if your refund was approved and your return was processed. The third one is when your refund is sent, and it'll give you a date in which to expect your refund. Now, keep in mind that if, for whatever reason, you chose to have the refund mailed to you, it is going to take a little bit longer than if you chose the direct deposit option. Also, other things to keep in mind, the refund can get delayed if there are errors or missing information on the return, or if the IRS just wants to review your return further. Last and final thought, the sooner you file, the sooner you're going to receive your refund. So, file as soon as possible so you can get your money back. If you guys...
